What are Coworking Burien's office hours?
All Coworking members have access to our coworking space via personal entry system 24/7. In the case of an after-hour event, we may ask our members to use a different room from what is scheduled to be occupied. However, access is always guaranteed.
What are the office hours for a tour and member support?
We're flexible. However, the office is not staffed at all times. If you want to come for a tour, please contact us. We want to make sure we will be available for your questions. Our tour usually takes only 15-20 minutes.
How will I know if this works for me before I sign up?
The best way is to try it! Our memberships are month-to-month, so there is not a risk of locking yourself in a mistake. Feel free to ask us whether we are running a promotional trial.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Almost all of our memberships are on a month-to-month basis. However, any member who wants to use the space needs to sign a membership agreement.
Do I have to come the same day every week for a part time membership?
No, you can come whenever you want and use your days however you like. For example, you can come for a couple of days in a row in the first week of the month and save some for the end of the month. Or, you could spread them evenly throughout the month in 1 or 2 days every week. It's all up to you. With the 'unlimited' or 'fix desk' membership, you can come as much or as little as you want 7 days a week.
What are the rules for guest passes?
A member can have one free guest each month. The same guest can only come for free twice a year regardless of who is inviting them. The member should never share the private digital access key, and they should notify us of the presence of their guests because they need to sign a day use limited liability form.
I signed up for limited days and used them all up but still want to come. What should I do?
Please contact us and let us know what other days you plan on coming. We will charge you the member day pass rate for any extra days.
Can I meet with clients?
Yes! We have a few meeting rooms perfect for meeting with people. Our meeting rooms have a whiteboard, table, and multiple chairs. Please reserve the meeting room ahead of time for a maximum of 2 hours on weekdays, 8 am to 6 pm, via Google calendar in our member area online. Clients who join you for meetings do not have to pay, but please be responsible for your guest. They can't use the space without your presence. If they want to stay for coworking please arrange this with us ahead of time and pay the guest rate for them.
Can I share my monthly days with my partner?
Yes, we just need to know that these are your intentions. One person will be responsible for billing.
Can my team use the coworking space?
Yes, your team is welcome. If your team needs a desk or space for meetings, please ask us about availability.
Can I take calls from my desk?
We do allow for calls to be taken at your desk. We also have phone rooms if you seek more privacy or if you don't want to wear a headset.
Can I rollover my unused days?
No, we don't offer the ability to rollover.
What if I come for a few hours here and there? Could I come more days than the agreed days?
For a charge, yes! A day is a day even if you decide to take advantage of only a few hours of the day. If you need to come more days than your plan allows, just let us know and we can bill you for those.
Can I get a private office?
No, we don't offer private office spaces. However, you might be happy with one of our fixed desks since they have cubicle walls around them. We have lockers, a phone booth, dividers, etc. Try it out! We have lots of no-commitment options.
Do I get my own desk?
Yes, we offer permanent/fixed desks. If you sign up for a 'fixed desk' membership, pick your favorite in the dedicated 'focus room'. They are offered on a first come, first served basis.
Dows your facility offer ergonomic workspaces?
We have designed our space to be as ergonomic and flexible as possible. We encourage you to switch it up at least every few hours for better health and a new perspective. We offer good chairs, standing desks, ball chairs, and other options. Find a space that suits you best for a while and then keep moving. It's good for you!
Do I need to bring my computer?
Yes, you should bring your Wi-Fi-ready computer to use on our high-speed internet connection.
Where can I park?
We have a parking lot. Parking in all side streets all around our office is always easy to find.
Can I book the meeting room for extended hours?
The meeting room is a shared space, talk to us if you need it for extended hours.
Can I rent your meeting room only, even if I am not a member?
Yes. Just go to the tab called "Meeting Room".
My work needs have changed. How can I quit or suspend my membership?
Our memberships are month-to-month. Please give us your written notice (email or letter) 30 days in advance to cancel your membership. We will be sorry to see you go, but we understand.
Can I leave my stuff?
Yes, you can leave your belongings on one of the regular desks during the day. Our space is safe, and only members have unrestricted access to our space. Please don't leave your belongings in our shared areas including phone booths or meeting rooms. Unless you have a fixed desk, please don't leave your items on desks at the end of the day. Take them home or put them away in a locker, which you can rent for a small extra fee. We don't take any responsibility for missing items, and your belongings are your own responsibility and are not insured in any way by us.
Can I print unlimited amounts of papers, for example, my book, my scrapbook, my flyer campaign?
We provide a black and white network printer for regular use (about 20 pages per day) in the space. If you plan on printing a lot, please use a print shop or your own printer. Help us keep this benefit free by printing responsibly. The environment will thank you as well.
Where is my food?
Please label all personal food in the fridge or pantry. Food without a name might be eaten by others or thrown out on cleaning day.
Do I need to pay extra for coffee, printing, and Internet?
No, we included all costs for coffee and tea in your membership as long as everyone uses our resources mindfully.
Do I have to clean?
Yes. Please clean up after yourself. Please use our shared space with respect and keep it clean and orderly. You won't have to help with regular cleaning, but please clean up after yourself and help yourself to a broom or paper towel or any cleaning supply you need. We take care of the deeper cleaning weekly.
Where is my coffee?
Coffee supplies are in the pantry. Help yourself.
Can I play my music?
Please listen to your music using headphones. If you are talking about playing live music', we are happy to sign you up to perform at our next member event.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes, please bring a guest. You are entitled to one free guest pass per month. Please keep in mind that you are fully responsible for any of your guests' actions and they can't be left alone in our space.
Can I bring my kids?
School-aged, well-behaved kids are welcome for a brief visit to our space and as visitors on a guest pass. No running, screaming, or throwing food is allowed.
Can I bring my pet?
We are working on it. As of today, we can't due to insurance and our landlord agreement.
Can I bring friends and family to member events?
We have several member events, and most are also for friends and family. Friends and family members are always welcome to tour the space and to join us at our free Coworking Meetup.
Can I use the space for my private event?
You can rent the entire space for your party, workshop, or private event on weekends and part of the space on weekday nights. Please contact us for more details.
Can I smoke?
No. If you have to smoke, please go outside. Thank you.
Can I bring alcohol?
We allow alcohol for member events and after hours. If you get intoxicated or irritable, we will need to ask you to leave. Don't drink and drive.
